Fumeless glass fiber filters are used for filtering impurities such as dross, slag, refractory particles, and non-metallic inclusions, from molten metals and their alloys during the casting process. These filters may be used in gravity die-casting, low-pressure die casting, investment casting, sand-mold casting, and shell-mold casting of non-ferrous metals and their alloys such as aluminium, tin, lead, zinc, and magnesium.
