1. Market of Energy Generation and Carbon Bonds
1.1 Energy Setting in Chile, its tendency.
� The north industry economic development of Chile has implied maintained rise in the demand of energy, given the correlation between economic growth and energy consumption. The previous thing mainly in mining companies.
� Today a maintained increase in the demand of energy is projected, not thus in the offering. There is a real deficit in the generation of energy in the Central Interconnected System (SIC) and in the Large North Interconnected System (SING).

1.2 Systems of energy provision.
The distribution of energy in Chile is channeled through four independent systems. Inside those, the most important are:
a) Large North Interconnected System (SING)
Supplies to the I and II regions, its installed capacity is mainly thermal, It is supplied by Natural Gas (58%), followed by Coal (34%), Diesel (4%) and fuel oil (4%). The main operators are: Electroandina, Edelnor and Gas Atacama.

� Since year 2004, the demand had to be satisfied with gas power stations reconverted to diesel, due to shortage of Natural Gas coming from Argentina. This results in greater production costs for the stations but not thus an increase in the same intensity in prices.
Risks
� A little less than 50% of energy provision, is Natural Gas form Argentina. Of the previous thing is concluded of an important Argentine Political Risk: the main problem of provision is because of Argentina�s gas cuts, due economic reactivation, that has had this country in recent years.
� Maintained increase of alternative energy generations costs, such as diesel and coal.
