We need to heat the head with a mid IR source but we are trying to minimize the heat generated from the lamp.

We need an illumination system with a mid IR wavelength: peak in between 2.8 um and 3.8 um. We have considerable design flexibility and therefore are open to using lamps or heaters. If lamps, we are looking for low cost lamps around 80-160 W power in the 80-150 mm length. We would like to test straight modules as well as bent lamps. We need 20-40 lamps for our initial evaluation.

We are willing to get your simplest design and most cost-effective possibilities as we will eventually need large quantities (over 10,000 units).

Specifically, we would like a quote that addresses the following:
gold reflector (with and without)
lamp with and without housing
ir emission spectra
cost in various quantities
