Afghanistan Sabz has been registered in order to match international requirements with the unique capabilities of Afghan agricultural potential. Subsidies are available from international donors in order to encourage the agricultural sector. The soils, growing season, and rain/irrigation profile of some areas of Afghanistan are appropriate for large scale cultivation of the guar bean. Through our extensive contacts in various provinces with large farming operations, we will be able to rapidly ramp up an extensive guar cultivation program. The premise of the project would be to deliver guar gum to the States prior to the start of the Indian selling season. There is a very good prospect therefore for American oil industry suppliers to improve their purchase position vis-a-vis Indian commodity exchanges.
