1. Applications
Used to supply 3 phase power,usually from a pole-mounted transformer,to the users service head where connection to the service entrance cable is made.To be used at voltages of **0 volts or less phase and at conductor temperatures not to exceed *5oC for polyethylene insulated conductors or *0 oC for crosslinked polyethylene(XLPE) insulated conductors.
2. Construction
Conductors are concentrically stranded,compressed ****-H*9 aluminum.Insulated with either polyethylene or XLPE crosslinked polyethylene.Neutral messengers are concentrically stranded ***1,AAC or ACSR.One conductor is manufactured with an extruded ridge for phase identification.
3. Specifications
Quadruplex service drop cable meets or exceeds the following ASTM specifications;
B***0 Aluminum Wire,****-H*9 for electrical Purposes.
B***1 Aluminum conductors,Concentric-Lay-Stranded.
B***2 Aluminum conductors,Concentric-Lay-Stranded,Coated Steel Reinforced(ACSR).
B***9 Concentric-Lay-Stranded,****-T**-Aluminum
Service Drop cable meets or exceeds all applicable requirements of ICEA-S******4
