The Amerigo Vespucci was designed by Lt.Col.Francesco Rotundi and was build at the Navy's ship yards at Castellammare di Stabia in Naples, Italy in ***0.

Amerigo Vespucci was named after the famous Italian explorerer who lived in the *5th century. This famous Italian ship was build as a training ship for the Italian Navy and is still serving as such today.*********1

Before the second world war she had a sisters hip called Cristoforo Colombo, launched in ***8, but the Italians had to give her up to the Russians after the war. Amerigo Vespucci has a crew of **0, is **1 meters long and has ***0 m2 sail.
