SMT offers a full range of quality lay-down triangular carbide thread turning inserts to meet most of thread standards. SMT existing type of threading insert is grounded profile and chip breaker inserts, delivering high quality threads, offered in a few grades and coatings to fit all the manufacturing purposes. SMT also offers threading tool holders for external and internal threads. Grade SMT*0 is a TiN PVD coated grade, with a micrograin substrate offering high temperature stability and a low coefficient of friction, suitable for machining carbon steel ,cast steel, high-strength steel and non-ferrous metal alloy steel at lower speed.
