Introduction of carbon fiber plate
Carbon fiber plate used in one of the method of carbon fiber reinforcement method (CFRP).
This method is often used to reinforce concrete floor, piers, bridges, pillars, chimpneys and tunnels etc to prevent cracking/peeling of concrete.
Features
Carbon fiber plate has the following advantages over carbon fiber cloth:
1. More suitable for prestressed reinforcement, making fuller use of the high strength of the carbon fiber,
2. Easy installation, easy to guarantee installation quality,
3. Straight layout and allowing maximum effect of carbon fiber,
4. A layer of 1.2mm thick carbon fiber plate is equivalent to *0 layers of carbon fiber cloth,
5. More suitable to reinforce the concrete wall structure than carbon fiber cloth.
Installation Process
1. According to the requirements, polish the area to be bonded until the concrete surface is exposed.   Repair the cracks/breakages/etc and cut the carbon fiber plate according to the designed dimension.
2. Mix the correct ratio of the carbon fiber plate adhesive, stirred evenly.
3. Wipe clean the carbon fiber plate surface (if pasting two plates, wipe and clean both surfaces), brush on the adhesive. The glue surface should be bulgy, with average thickness of more than 2mm.
4. Press the plate with adhesive against the polished concrete surface, use a rubber roller to firmly roll on the plate along the direction of the carbon fiber, ensure the adhesive are squeezed out from both sides of the plate and there are no spaces in between.
5. When pasting two layers of carbon fiber plate, paste continuously. If not, clean the bottom plate again before pasting.
6. Remove the excess glue on both sides of the carbon plate. Clean the surface of the plate, coat the protection surface according to requirements.
7. When pasting several carbon fiber plates in parallel, the gap between the two plate should not be lesser than 5mm.
