Content Introduction:  

What is CE certification:  

CE is an abbreviation of Conformit e Europ e ene, meaning "to comply with European standards."  "CE Marking", also known as CE Marking, was formally proposed in the European Union Product Directive *8/*8/EEC signed in ***3. CE Marking has become a unified compulsory product Marking in European Union countries.  In other words, without the CE mark, one cannot enter the EU market.  The CE mark on a product means that the manufacturer declares that the product meets the basic requirements set out in European health, safety, environmental protection and consumer protection laws (in practice, these laws are often issued in the form of product directives).  Products with the CE mark can legally enter the Eu Single Market and circulate freely within it.  The European Economic Area is the European Union and the member states of the European Free Trade Association (efTA) (except Switzerland).  Before the CE mark was implemented, due to the different requirements of eu countries on product import and sales, it was easy to form trade barriers between each other and hinder the process of economic integration.  The CE marking is reported according to the New Approach Directives for Technical Coordination and Standards of the European Community (*5/C**6/*1) of 7 May ***5.  

Technical documents required for lCE certification:  

1. Product instruction manual  

2. Safety design document (key structure drawing),  

3. Product technical conditions, establishment of technical data,  

4. Product schematic diagram and circuit diagram (if applicable),  

5. List of key components or raw materials (products with European certification mark);  

6. Copy of machine/unit or component certification.  

7. Other information required.  

L Certification application procedures:  

1. Preliminary written application by the manufacturer/certification body;  

2. The applicant shall fill in the ce-marking application form, and send the application form, instruction manual and technical documents to the certification body;  

3 certification body to determine the inspection standards and inspection items and quotation;  

4. The applicant/manufacturer confirms the quotation, and sends the samples and relevant technical documents to the certification body;  

5. Technical documents provided by applicant/manufacturer;  

6 certification body to the applicant/manufacturer issued a notice of charge, the applicant/manufacturer according to the notice of charge requirements to pay the certification fee;  

7. Certification bodies for product testing and review of technical documents;  

8. Review of technical documents includes: 1) Whether the documents are perfect.  2) Whether the documents are written in the official language of the EC (English, German or French);  

9. If the technical documentation is incomplete or the required language is not used, the certification body will inform the applicant/manufacturer of improvements;

If the test is not qualified, the certification body will inform the applicant/manufacturer in time, allowing the applicant/manufacturer to improve the product.  And so on, until the test passes.  The applicant/manufacturer shall make changes to the technical data in the original application to reflect the actual situation after the changes;  

*1. The certification body shall provide the applicant with test report or technical document (TCF), CE certificate of Conformity (COC), and CE mark;  

*2. Applicant signs CE Assurance Self-declaration (DOC) and affix CE mark on the product.
