الوصف

CNSL modified powdered phenolic resin for brake linings which are polycondesation products of phenol and formaldehyde catalyzed by acid. The polycondesation is brought to completion. The molecular growth of these thermoplastic synthetic resins is limited by addition of substoichiometric amount of the formaldehyde component. Novolac resin cannot cure on their own. However,novolacs can be cross-linked by addition of curing agents, such as formaldehyde or hexamethylenetetramine .

CNSL modified phenol resin powder ***1 are produced by reacting formaldehyde with phenol under acidic conditions and modified

with CNSL which is C*5 alkyl phenol from natural cashew nutshell to improve the flexibility .

After cooled and solidified,it is milled to powder and mixed with around *0%of hexamethylenetetramine.

Novolak resins ***1 is recommended for the production of friction materials(disk pads,brake linings and

clutch facings)required reduced noise and judder,and improved impact strength
