1.Pruduct Description
Concrete Fabric is a flexible, concrete impregnated fabric
that hardens when hydrated to form a thin, durable, water proof and
fire resistant concrete layer. It is the original concrete on a
roll before hydrate.
2.Characteristics of the Concrete Fabric when
Concrete Fabric allows concrete construction without the need
for plant or mixing equipment. Simply unroll and position Concrete
Canvas, and then just add water (any type of water, including sea
water). Concrete Fabric has no impact on the pH of runoff
water. Concrete Fabric is widely used as a cheaper
alternative to conventional concrete.d
Compared to traditional concrete solutions, Concrete
Fabric is faster, easier and more cost effective to
install and has the additional benefit of reducing the
environmental impact of concreting works by up to *5%. It is
available in bulk and smaller batch rolls.
3.APPLICATIONS
1.Ditch Lining
Concrete Fabric is rapidly becoming the ditch lining material
of choice for engineers and contractors around the
world. Concrete Fabric is typically *0 times faster
to install than conventional concrete solutions, with installation
speeds of up to **0 m2/hr possible with only a three man crew
for a longitudinal layup.
2.Slope Protection
Concrete Fabric is increasingly being used as an alternative
to non-structural shotcrete to protect slopes from surface erosion
caused by weathering, surface run-off and environmental
degradation.
In certain applications Concrete Fabric can be used as
structural slope stabilisation by combining it with steel mesh and
soils nails (see the Concrete Fabric User guide for
more details).
3.Bund Lining
Concrete Fabric can be used for hard armour capping of earth
bunds around petrochemical tank farms, munitions depots and flood
defences. Typically installation speeds for bund lining are
approximately **0 m2/day with a *-man crew. Concrete
Fabric Hydro may also be used in this application.
4.Vent Walls
Concrete Fabric can be used as an alternative to brattice
cloth, plaster board or concrete block-work to construct blast and
vent wall structures for underground mining applications. Trials
have shown that Concrete Fabric typically provides cost
