They are called as 'created opal' because it is a high quality synthetic stone, the physical and chemical composition are same as the natural opal and there is no plastic contents at all in the composition. So, it is suitable for daily wearing. The main difference between the two is that the created opal has very little water contents and so unlike the natural opal, it does not craize. They cost a fraction of the price one would pay for a natural opal of comparable size and beauty. Four types available : Mexican, Polar, White and Black.
