These bearings belong to the removable ones, which are convenient in mounting and dismounting. Cylindrical roller bearings are classified as single row, double row and multiple row, of which the single row cylindrical roller bearings with cage are more applied.

In general, the cylindrical roller bearings can only carry radial loads. Only the single row cylindrical roller bearings with inner rings and outer rings having ribs can a certain smaller amount of constant axial loads or bigger amount of intermittent axial loads be carried. Generally for cylindrical roller bearings the shafts are not allowed to incline to the outer housings. however for single row cylindrical roller bearings, under the condition of light loads, the inner rings and outer rings are allowed to incline to each other for 2';under the condition of bigger loads, errors can be allowed to be slightly bigger, but not more than 4'.

According to the different ribs of rings, the single row cylindrical roller bearings fall into the following types: type N***0(***0)-the outer rings have no ribs and the inner rings have double ribs; type NU***0(****0)-the inner rings have no ribs and the outer rings have double ribs; type NF***0(****0)-the inner rings have double ribs and the outer rings have single ribs; type NUP***0(****0)-the outer rings have double ribs and the inner rings have single ribs plus flat snap sings ect.

The double row cylindrical roller bearings are divided int two kinds, i.e. the bore of cylindrical form or the bore of tapered form, which have the advantages of compact structure , stong rigidity, powerful load carriage, small deformation after loads ect., suitable for supporting the main shafts of machines.

The two stuctural bearings of both type NN and type NNU don't restrict the axial displacement of shafts to the outer housings. The are often used for non-location bearings.

The four row cylindrical roller bearings of type FC,FCD,. FCDP boost high capacity of radial carriage, but not axial oads carriage. Due to the fact that the inner rings have no ribs, the respective assembly of inner rings and outer rings compoments (with full set of rollers and cage) can be made.

Single row cylindrical roller bearing

Single row cylindrical roller bearings are manufactured in several different designs, the main difference being in the configuration of the flanges. The most popular are the NU, N, NJ and NUP designs. Cylindrical roller bearings can accommodate heavy radial loads and high speeds.Some with different strcuture of ribs can also bear one way ot two way axial load.NN and NNU double row cylindrical roller bearings have a low cross section, high load carrying capacity and high stiffness,therefore it is mostly used in machine tool spindle stands.FC,FCD,FCDP four row cylindrical roller bearings with large capacity of radial load,mostly applied in rolling mill and heavy machinery.
