DIY-streetview Camera
Pictures
• The DIY-streetview camera has six sensors that record
combined *0MP .jpg images.
• The release interval is 3 seconds.
• It covers **0 x ca. **0 degree.
That is everything but the car/backpack.
Mapping
• The integrated GPS receiver logs the exact position, date and time for
each set of images recorded.
• With this extra data the Image Processing Server then geotaggs the
DIY-Streetviews EXIF with latitude, longitude, altitude, image direction,
date and time of recording for easy mapping.
Leveling
• The integrated orientation sensor logs the exact orientation of the camera for each
set of images recorded. With this extra, data the Image Processing Server
levels the DIY-Streetviews so you always get straight images, even
when the camera was angled when recording.
Power
• The camera runs on **-volt DC. The power
cord is 5 meters (ca. *5 feet) long.
• In addition to the included **-volt battery, a
vehicles **-volt power outlet or cigarette lighter are
sufficient to power the camera.
Remote Control
• With the wired remote control you can switch the DIY-streetview
camera on and off 5 meters away from the camera. The remote
control also has LEDs to indicate operation. And an audible alarm
for when the SD cards need to be changed after ca. 6 hours. The
remote control has a 5 meter (ca. *5 feet) cord.
Data capacity
• The DIY-Streetview camera saves the images and extra data to
a set of seven *2 GB SD cards.
Recording time
• Recording time is a minimum of 4 hours per set of SD cards and battery.
• You can carry multiple sets of SD cards and extra batteries for
extended recording time.

Image Processing Server
Needed to process the camera footage
into ***0 x ***0 pixel panoramas.
Software
• All the software needed is already installed
and tested.
• The custom software has been developed to
work closely with the unique features of the
DIY-Streetview camera. It not only massprocesses
sets of images into panoramas, it also
levels with the orientation data and geotaggs
with the GPS data recorded by the camera.
• It then converts the panoramas into a file
format suitable for display on the Internet by the Google custom streetview API v3 based player
and uploads data to the included database to enable navigation.
• A local version of the Google custom streetview player and database is created for immediate
review. (Needs Internet access.)
• The Image Processing Server Operating System is Ubuntu Linux.
Everything is explained step-by-step in the manual.
Example Project
• A completely processed project with a working Google custom streetview player is included.
Training Project
• In addition, another project has been started and the original footage already copied in place.
You can process it right away without having to do any recording. Processing the training project
is described in detail in the included manual.

• The Image Processing Server is covered by
the included email support.
• As part of the optionally available Remote Live
Support, we also can connect to your hardware
Image Processing Server by Internet.

Google custom streetview API player
• Google provides an official interface (API) that allows to create
a Google player on your own website which displays your own footage.
• Our Google custom streetview API based player comes with an
included database that enables navigation. Virtually all aspects of
the player can be customized.
