DMDC 1.2 data concentrator is used in Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) systems. DMDC 1.2 acts as a gateway between Meter Data Collection System (MDMS) and metering devices - electricity, water, gas meters. It collects and stores metering data as well as other diagnostical data.
DMDC 1.2 collects data using Power Line Communication (PLC). Due to this the separate communication cables between meters and data concentrator are unnecessary. It uses OFDM (PRIME) or DCSK PLC modulation.
DMDC 1.2 can transfer data via Ethernet or GPRS/3G/4G depending on modification.
