Doussie is a beautiful orange-brown wood. It is one of most popular species that are imported into Europe. In Central and West Africa is considered a sacred and healing. Essential oils have Doussie supposedly curative effect on the human body. Doussie is very stable.

General Characteristics = Wood golden brown to light red brown, sometimes with darker veins. The heartwood is light brown in color, turning reddish-brown upon exposure, and is sharply demarcated from the sapwood.
Grain = Straight or interlocked
Texture = Moderately Coarse, even texture
Movement in Service = Low
Photosensitivity = Low
