Saal tree (Shorea Robusta) is called king of trees. A tree takes thousands of year to get matured. Saal wood are recognized as the strongest wood in the World. Saal trees are found in Sub-tropical (Tarai)   regions of Nepal. We are making Duna, Tapari and Bota items using the leaves of saal trees. As they are dark green in color, hygienic and have a great religious, ritual and cultural values. They are made by stitching the saal leaves together using small bamboo sticks and giving them shape through hydraulic machines. They are easily disposable and Eco-friendly. The Saal leaf products can be easily disposed and are environment friendly. These plates are itself very strong, hot & cold resistant, light weight and decorative. The plates and bowls of fresh saal leaves are used for many purposes during various occasions including religious functions, ritual ceremonies, traditional practices and festivals and nowadays they are being used commercially in Party Palaces, in picnics, in home for daily food serving, in restaurants and so on as an replacement for plastic plates and dinnerware. Eating in such duna, tapari and bota have greater hygiene value.
