Electromagnetic Flow Transmitter 1.Introduction

 

An electromagnetic flowmeter, also known as a magmeter, can be used to accurately measure the flowrate of liquids which are electrical conducting, caustic, and mixed with liquids and solids. They are widely used throughout industries of petroleum, chemical engineering, pharmacology, papermaking, electric power, environmental protection and so forth.

The electromagnetic flowmeter was developed based on principle of electromagnetic induction, i.e., when conductive liquid flows into measuring tube, the corresponding induction voltage signal, inspected from two electrodes installed on the tube, will be transmitted in transmitter and finally output digital signal. Electromagnetic flowmeter is applied to measure the volumetric flow of conductive liquids and slurry in enclosed pipes. Such as tap water, polluted water, mud, pulp, various acid, alkali, salt solutions, food slurry, etc. It has a wide range of applicant ambient, including oil interests, chemical industry, power plant, mining and metallurgic plant, water supply and sewerage works, light industry, food products factory, and so on.

 

These series electromagnetic flowmeters are made up of sensor and transducer, together with LCD screen, current and pulse output, alarm signal and RS***5 communication

 

1The structure of flowmeter is simple, function is reliable because there are no transmission parts, the working lifetime is long.

2 there are no block and cut-off parts, so the phenomenon of pressure loss and liquid block is not existed.

3 there is no mechanical inertia, fast response, excellent stability, it can be applied on automatic inspection adjustment and program process system.

4 the preciseness of measure is free of physical data influence of medium varieties, temperature, viscidity, density and pressure etc.
