What IS TDS?

Total Dissolved Solids(TDS) are the total amount of mobile charged ions,including salts or metals dissolved in a given volume of water. TDS,which is based on conductivity,is expressed in parts per million(ppm) or milligrams per liter(mg/L).TDS includes any inorganic element present other than the pure water molecule(H2O) and suspended solids.

 

The higher the TDS level in water, the greater the of probability of harmful contaminants that can pose health risks or hinder the absorption of water.

The U.S. EPAs Maximum Contaminant Level of TDS for human consumption is **0 ppm.

Use the TDS Meter to:

Check the performance of your water filter

Check for the hardness (1 grain=*7ppm)

 Calibrating Steps as follows;

To hold TEMP Button for **5 seconds and then you will see the number is beating in the displaying screen.

HOLD is also called Increasing Button at this time.

Therefore , if you want to increase the TDS value, you could press the HOLD .

ON/OFF named Reducing Button at this time.

So, if you want to reduce the TDS value, you could press the ON/OFF .

 

Instructions for the TDS meter

Remove the protective cap.

Turn the TDS meter on.

Immerse the meter into the water/solution up to the maximum immersion level (2).

Waiting until the display stabilizes, The TDS meter automatically compensates for temperature variations Once the readout is stabilized (*0 to *5 seconds).Press the hold to save reading.

After usage,shake off water from your meter or wipe it with a tissue.

 

Taking Temperature Measurement

1.Once the meter is on,the temperature function can be used at any time, in or out of liquid.

2.Press the TEMP .The display will switch to temperature(in Celsius only).

3.To return to TDS mode,press the TEMP .



Precaution and notes

Do not drop the entire TDS meter in water or dip beyond the maximum immersion level.This unit is not covered under the warranty if water enters the unit.

2. Do not store the TDS meter under high temperature or direct sunlight.This will shorten the life-span of the product and potentially avoid the warranty.

3. The TDS*3 meter is calibrated at **2ppm. It is recommended that the calibration level should be the similar to the sample to be tested.If you are testing higher ppm(member,water quality association).

1.Three year warranty: The product is warranted to the purchaser against material and workmanship for three(3) years from date of purchase.

What is covered:

Parts and labor , or replacement at the companys option. Transportation charges to the purchaser.

Transportation charges to the company. Damages from the abuse or improper maintenance (see operating instructions and precautions). Any other consequential damages, incidental damages ,or incidental expenses,including  damages to the property.Some states do not allow exclusive or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.
