Foundry coke is that to melt the ore or scrap metal mineral materials So,the Foundry coke should have large size,low reactivity,small porosity and sufficient impact crushing strength resistance,and it should have obvious properties of low ash and the properties of low sulfur at the same time.
Metallurgical coke is the main fuel in the blast furnace steelmaking.The function of Metallurgical coke is that to fuse the mine or scrap iron and other kind of metallic mineral substances in the blast furnace.The metallurgical coke has features of small particle size,high porosity,good reactivity,high strength after reaction and the sulfur content of metallurgical coke is higher than Foundry coke
