γ-Aminobutyric acid (or GABA) is the chief inhibitory neurotransmitter in the mammalian central nervous system. It plays a role in regulating neuronal excitability throughout the nervous system.

GABA has relaxing, anti-anxiety, and anti-convulsive effects on human. It is used as a dietary supplement to help people with sleep problem, stress, hypertension and fatigue. It is added into functional drinks and food in Japan and the US. GABA is also used in cosmetic products due to its anti-wrinkle effect.

GABA we supply is made during fermentation by Lactobacillus. It is free from toxic and hazardous substances and safe to human.
