γ- Butyrolactone is a colorless oily liquid with acetone like odor.
Its boiling point ranges from **1 ℃ to **6 ℃, freezing point is

It is miscible with water, alcohol, chemical book, ketone, ester
and aromatic hydrocarbon.
Limited solubility in aliphatic hydrocarbons and cycloaliphatic
hydrocarbon.
γ- Butyrolactone is widely used in the field of polyurethane.
It can be used as viscosity modifier (active diluent) of
polyurethane and curing agent of polyurethane and amino coating
system.
