Ginger (Zingiber officinale) is an erect perennial herb that
grows up to 3 feet high with a thick, spreading, tuberous rhizome
root that has a pungent scent. The oil is steam distilled from
the unpeeled, dried, ground root to obtain a warm, slightly
green, fresh, woody-spicy essence.
Ginger is effective for treating inflammation of the testicles.
Malaria: Ginger root and ginger oil is also
effective against yellow
fever and malaria.
Kidney: It is also believed that ginger root
juice is able to dissolve kidney stones.
Hair Care: Ginger is useful for hair care as
well. Usage of the juice of ginger is useful in controlling
dandruff.
