- i) A rural based diary development group is desirous of entering into a joint venture with a firm/company that has the technical know-how of developing energy from diary waste to power an ethanol plant in the Western region(s) of Uganda.
- ii) There are also mining concessions whose infrastructure was run down in the post conflict era(s) which have been put up for privatization by the responsible authorities. There is sufficient proof of existence of minerals underneath these facilities as proven by the recent feasibility studies & geological reports conducted on some of the facilities.
iii) The biggest opportunity we got on the shelf being the need to develop a satellite city next to the new crude oil refineries in Uganda. Here, schools, hospitals, hotels, shopping malls to name but a few are urgently required.
As for the other projects such as construction of railway lines and roads the Buy Own & Transfer (BOT) system is most preferred by most governments south of the Sahara.
