What is gum Arabic? 
 Gum arabic, also known as acacia gum, arabic gum, gum acacia, acacia, Senegal gum and Indian gum, and by other names, is a natural gum consisting of the hardened sap of various species of the acacia tree. 
  What is the use of gum Arabic? 
 Is a key ingredient in traditional lithography and is used in printing, paint production, glue, cosmetics and various industrial applications, including viscosity control in inks and in textile industries.

Hashab Gum (Acacia Senegal) 
 The acacia tree is known for being a scraggly, thorny tree, which grows about fifteen feet. This grows often in regions of Africa, particularly in Sudan. During drought times, the bark of tree splits exudes a sap, which dries in small droplets. In the previous years, such hardened sap tears served as the primary source of gum Arabic, yet today the commercial gum Arabic is derived by the tapping trees periodically as well as collecting resin semi-mechanically.  
Talha Gum (Acacia Seyal) 
 A brittle commercial gum arabic obtained from two north African acacicias ( Acacoa Stempcarpa) and A Seyal ) called also suakin gum, Talca gum.
