With the introduction of PERMIX jet flow agitator, our customers are able to choose a suitable machine when they need both good mixing of the total liquid body and low level shearing force to the droplet. However, sometimes we are asked by our users that they need something to offer less shearing force than a high shear mixer, but more than PERMIX jet flow agitator. As a result, the PERMIX jet shear agitators are presented to meet the demand.

Advantages of a jet shear mixer:

With extra slot openings in the deflector, PERMIX jet shear agitators are able to offer a more intensive shear force than jet flow agitators. That is because part of the liquid droplet will go through the slot openings back to the vessel. Jet shear agitator is usually used to mix immiscible products which have a quite high viscosity without additional stirrers in the vessel. A wide range of applications of it could be oil emulsions, pigment suspensions, thickener solutions, etc. To make it even more outstanding, it is able to mix the easy foaming products without induction of air.

Installation and Set-up:

Similar to the jet flow agitator, jet shear agitator also can be installed from top, at side and at bottom.
