2. Potassium nitrate function and application
Mainly used for fireworks, gunpowder, matches, fuse, wicks, tobacco, color television screen, medicine, chemical reagent, catalyst, ceramic glaze color, glass, compound fertilizer, and flowers, vegetables and fruit trees and the crops foliar spraying fertilizer etc. In addition, the metallurgical industry, food industry etc would like to use potassium nitrate as auxiliary materials.
3.Handling and storage
Handling
Precautions: closed operation, enhanced ventilation.
Operators must go through specialized training, strict adherence to
rules. Operators are proposed to wear headgear electric powered
air-purifying respirators, wear protective polyethylene clothing,
and wear rubber gloves. Away from fire and heat
sources,
smoking is not allowed in the workplace. Away from flammable and
combustible materials. To avoid producing dust. Avoid touching with
reducing agents, acids, reactive metal powder. Handling should be
taken care, and packaging and containers to prevent damage.
Corresponding with the variety and quantity of fire-fighting
equipment and emergency equipment avoiding leakage.
Storage note: store in cool, dry and well ventilated warehouses. Away from the fire, heat source. No more than 30 °C library temperature, relative humidity not more than 80%. Should separate from the reducing agent, with acids, easy (can) burning content, active metal powder, especially avoid mixed store.
