L-arabinose, also known as arabinose, pectin sugar, is an aldose sugar. In nature, l-arabinose is rarely present in the form of monosaccharides, usually in the form of heteropolysaccharides by combining other monosaccharides in glial, hemicellulose, pectic acid, lipopolysaccharide and certain glycosides. Its stability to heat and acid is high. L-arabinose, a new type of low-calorie sweetener, is widely found in the crust of fruit and whole grains. It can inhibit the activity of sucrase in the intestine of humans and thus has the effect of inhibiting sucrose absorption. Arabinose can also inhibit body fat accumulation, and can be used to prevent and treat obesity, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and other diseases. In the Japanese Ministry of Health and Welfare, l-arabinose is  listed as special health food additives for regulating blood sugar; the american medical association will list l-arabinose in the "anti-obesity nutritional supplements or non-prescription drugs". Then chinas ministry of health officially approved l-arabinose as a new resource food in ***8 and confirmed its importance in the field of functional sugar.

 

Features:

1. Inhibition of sucrose metabolism and absorption; the most representative physiological role of l-arabinose is to selectively affect sucrase in small intestine, thus inhibiting the absorption of sucrose.
