Leca is a kind of newly developed substrate which takes clay as the main raw material and adds *4 kinds of element compounds which is necessary for plants growth.We call it flower ceramsite.It is firstly processed into spherical granules then sintered under the high temperature about **0?. The flower ceramsite has the characters of homogeneous crumb size, pink or red color, inner structure with space inside the ball like a honeycomb, light weight and can float on the water which is good soilless cultivation substrate. Ceramsite is micro porous from the surface to the centre and has certain mechanical strength and high water absorption ability and breathable and keeps fertilizer good. Small particles pack together to form a number of hole which is good for ventilate and the movement of water which will not cause harden. There will not have any dust under dry condition and will not fly apart after bubble water and no any muddy water, so this matrix is much better than natural soil. Using the ceramsite ball, flowers in transparent glass vase are nutritious without dust, muddy water and offensive smell.
