Working principle of eco
friendly magnesium hydroxide flame retardant
The flame retardant mechanism of the flame retardant is

combustion cycle and the generation of smoke through physical and
chemical action. Magnesium hydroxide is a raw material of
chemical, which is rich in water of crystallization. It begins to

The basic research and application research of magnesium
hydroxide is very extensive and wide-ranging. Compared with the
other two inorganic flame retardants, which are calcium carbonate
and aluminum hydroxide, magnesium hydroxide has a superior flame
retardant effect in the solid degradation zone, and is also very
effective in suppressing smoke. When the magnesium hydroxide
flame retardant is used alone, the flame retarding effect is low
and the amount of addition is large. Therefore, the surface
modification of magnesium hydroxide is often carried out and
mixed with other flame retardants to improve the flame retarding
effect. The silane coupling agent is mixed with calcium stearate
and magnesium oleate to modify the surface of magnesium

material.
