Magnetic separator
Magnetic separator is a kind of magnetic separating equipment which deirons from dry powder continuously and automatically. It has internal unique magnetic circuit design and magnetic source which is highperformance of materials. It has the features of high capacity, low consumption, energy saving, safety and reliable in operation, etc. It can control feeding flow and suit for different particle requirements. The product are widely used in the abrasives, refractory, nonmetal ore dressing, carbon black, food, feed, chemical raw materials, etc.
Application
The Magnetic Separators are available in cyclic design with process vessel diameters smaller than 3mm. Magnetic Separator is one kind of efficient equipment for processing fine, feebly magnetic minerals, such as hematite, limonite, wolfram, limonite, and tantalum-niobium, etc. In recent years, it is also more and more applied in purifying quartz, feldspar and nephrite. Its magnetic system is a ring-shape chain closed magnetic circuit with energizing coils made of copper tube and cooled internally by water. Grooved plates made of magnetic conductive stainless steel are used as magnetic matrix.
Working principle
The mineral slurry, which consists of loosened particles, is fed into the cell through a box feeder. The liquid flow through the system and the magnetic field will cause the magnetic particle to swarm together forming a magnetic cluster or chain. His magnetic cluster or chain is attracted to the cylinder due to the magnetic force. The revolution of the cylinder around the magnetic field causes the non-magnetic particles to fall off while the magnetic ones remain attached. The magnetic materials move along the cylinder to the end of the point where the magnetic force is weakest at the end of the magnetic system. At this end, the magnetic material is discharged into the concentrate tank by the current produced by the discharging-ore pipe. The rest of the on magnetic materials as well as those with low levels of magnetism are discharged together with the slurry.
