1.Polypropylene is a sterile non-absorbable, monofilament, synthetic surgical suture composed of    an isotactic crystalline stereoisomer of polypropylene, a synthetic linear polyolefin and    polyethylene.
Polypropylene sutures are available from sizes usp7/0 to usp3.


2.Polyester is a sterile non-absorbable, braided, synthetic surgical suture composed of polyethylene terephthalate.polyester sutures are dyed greed/bule and coated with silicon which grants extraordinary smoothness, softness and non thrombogenic features to the suture.
polyester sutures are available from sizes usp6/0 to usp4.

3.Silk is a strand of braided silk fibrils and is derived from the filaments of bombyx mori silkworm, called fibroin.  the silk are treared to remove natural sericin gum and is further dyed with black non-toxic dyes and coated in silicone or wax to provide a amooth surface and greater tensile strength.
The available silk sizes are from usp8/*-usp4

4.Nylon is a sterile non-absorbable, monofilament,syntetic suture composed of polyamide 6 and/or poly-amide 6.6. Nylon sutures are dyed or black available from size usp*2/*-usp4. Nylon meets all the requirements established by the united states pharmacopeia for Non-absorbable surgical suture.
