Electric Drive Drilling Rigs

DC motor drive drilling rigs employ the advanced AC-SCR-DC power system in the modern world. Drawworks, rotary table, and mud pumps can realize the stepless speed regulation, so as to gain excellent drilling performance.

The drilling rig driven by AC variable frequency motor employs VFD and digital control technology. The drawworks can adopt energy consumption brake.

The substructure (7.5m, 9m, and *0.5m in height) adopts a parallelogram integrated raising design, so the derrick and equipment on the drill floor can be installed at ground level before elevating to the operating position by the power of drawworks.

The main brake of drawworks employs a hydraulic disc brake with enhanced braking torque, sensitivity and reliability. The brake handle is located in the drillers cab, so as to reduce the drillers working intensity.

The rotary table adopts independent drive and combined drive.

Auxiliary brake of the drawworks can be either an eddy current brake or EATON brake, which improves drilling efficiency, saves energy, increases control capability, improves reliability, and extends the service life of disc brakes and/or brake blocks. Drums are provided with grooves which make the line spool in order. The overwinding valve crown block protector reacts flexibly and correctly; it can also be equipped with a height indicator for the travelling block, so as to improve the drilling safety.

The drawworks is equipped with auto driller system; the auto driller can be driven by main motor or another small motor.

The transmission case of rotary table has two shift gears; one is chain transmission and the other is gear transmission.

The manufacture of main parts conforms to relevant API specifications.
