Orchid plants growing in a sterile glass bottle! As long as the orchids grow in the closed bottle, they require no care. Place the bottle in a light place, at which it does not get direct sunlight. When the first leaves grow up to the shoulder of the bottle, it is at the time, to take the plants out from the sterile glass. Destroy the bottom of the bottle carefully with a hammer, best by holding it over a plastic bowl filled with hand-warm water. Wash the nutrient rich medium off the roots carefully and plant each orchid into a small flowerpot, filled with coconut snippets. Should it make difficulties to get this substrate in your home, you can also use the roots of the king fern (Osmunda) or sphagnum. Beside sufficient brightness, orchids expect high humidity and a regular air-circulation from their location. You can reach both, if you place each single pot over a water-filled plate and regular waters the substrate. Take care, that it also dries off at intervals
