Green Silicon Carbide also known as Green Carborundumis an extremely hard (Knoop ***0 or Mohs 9.2, microhardness ********0) man made mineral that possesses high thermal conductivity (**0 W/m-K). It also has high strength at elevated temperatures (at ***0°C, Green SiC is 7.5 times stronger than Al2O3). Among abrasives, silicon carbides hardness is higher than corundum, and ranked below diamond, cubic boron nitride and boron carbide. Density generally viewed is 3.***3.*5g/cm3, bulk density is 1.**1.6g/cm3.

Green Silicon Carbide is an entirely new batch composition made from silica sand and petroleum coke, appended with salt, then smelted in electric arc furnace, and is extremely pure.
