•DESCRIPTION AND
USE
XY*5 is an oxygen scavenger
designed to control corrosion caused by dissolved oxygen in
preboiler and boiler systems. The scavenger in XY*5 does not
contribute inorganic solids to the treated water. The treated water
may be used for steam attemperation and to lay up nondrainable
superheaters. XY*5 is formulated to meet or exceed the most
demanding product purity requirements. It is the product of choice
for nuclear applications and in allvolatile systems where even
minor product impurities are a concern.
The scavenger in XY*5 is of
low toxicity. This product may not be used in drinking water
systems or where steam is used for humidification.

TYPICAL
APPLICATIONS
Even with good deaerating
heater operation, sufficient dissolved oxygen can remain in the
feedwater to damage the boiler system. Oxygen in water produces
pitting, which is severe because of its localized nature.
Economizers and feedwater preheaters are highly susceptible to
oxygen attack. The reaction products of XY*5 with oxygen are water,
nitrogen and carbon dioxide. Oxygen scavenging with this product
contributes no dissolved solids to the treated water.
TREATMENT AND FEEDING
REQUIREMENTS
Feed Point - Feed XY*5 to the
condensate hot well, the deaerator storage section or
the
feedwater line.
Feedrate –Feed XY*5 continuously based on the
feedwater dissolved oxygen concentration and the presence of a
suitable residual.
Equipment - Because of the low
toxicity (see MSDS) of XY *5 compared to hydrazine, it does not
require a system designed to minimize operator
exposure.

Explanation】
PC - **1 is a
nonionic liquid substance, it can surround resin and other
hydrophobic organic pollutant exists in system, and make the
sediments effectively controlled. Because it has nonionic and
detergent properties, and all comprised of organic
composition, so it can be in high effective in all kinds of
environment, even in sensitive area the traditional sediment
control agent cannot be used , it can maintain
efficient.
PC - **1 is
through the debonding action to make resin and viscose under
control.viscose substances of the waste (e.g., acetate,
styrenebutadiene rubber, acrylic, etc.)can flow out of the system
with the paper web or domestic sewage system, not sticky on nets or
blanket; Also,resin from merchandise plasma or pulp mill
brings together with paper web in stable state outflow of the
system, and not gathered into a larger group glued to the nets or
blanket.
PC -
**1 as an important component of organic sediment control
procedures, usually used for organic sticky elimination from the
feed pulp . The final retention time is very important.because the
products always retained in the closed system,thus ensure the
better effect.

Application】
PC - **1 generally continuous
directly added before sediments produced point,in order to gain
better control effect, also often required to choose multiple
adding points.
PC - **1 typical dosage is:
control resin is: 0.7 ~ 1.5 kg/tons absolutely dry
plasma; control viscose is commonly: 1.5 ~ 2.5 kg/tons
absolutely dry pulp. Also depends on the problem
severity.
PC - **1 dosage and joining
point should decides as the content and properties of resin and
viscosity in the system. added after beating pulp(original
pulp),the wasted paper deinking pulp generally add in hot
dispersing (bleaching) system, wood pulp can also add in waterpower
pulp machine,used together with cleaner, can get better
