一：Historical background

Omeisaurus is a genus of sauropod dinosaur from the Middle Jurassic Period of what is now Sichuan Provience of China. Its name comes from Mount Emei, where it was discovered in the lower Shaximiao Formation of Sichuan Province. It is also where our conmamy loacated .Like other sauropods, Omeisaurus was herbivorous and large. It measured *0 to *5.2 metres (*0 to *0 ft) long and 4 metres (*2 ft) high, and weighed 4 tons.
