Mixed beds are also divided into in-body synchronous regenerative mixed beds and in-body regenerative mixed beds. The main streams all use synchronous regeneration type mixed bed, in operation and the entire regeneration process are carried out in the mixed bed, regeneration of the resin does not move out of the equipment, and Yang, Yin resin regeneration at the same time, so the need for ancillary equipment less, easy to operate. The mixed bed is mainly used to reduce the hardness, alkalinity and anions and cations in the water, making it softened or deionised water.

Application range.
Mixed bed is generally placed after the electrodialysis or reverse osmosis device (or directly applied to water with low salt content), the water can be further desalinated to produce higher purity water, widely used in electronics, chemical, pharmaceutical, atomic energy, electric power and other industries.
