INDUSTRIAL DESIGN: Industrial design melds art and science into one. Its focus is to develop a product with aesthetic appeal, optimized functionality, and ergonomics. The marketability of new products can weigh heavily on aesthetics, therefore many products can benefit from the use of freeform surfacing as opposed to designs created from more basic shapes like blocks and cylinders.
