This product is polar solvent, used as plasticizer, spinning solvent, water soluble dye and dispersant of plastics.It can also be used as an extraction agent for oily solvents and olefin and aromatic hydrocarbons.Propylene carbonate as the battery electrolyte can withstand harsh light, heat and chemical changes.It is also useful in geological mineral processing and analytical chemistry.In addition, propylene carbonate can also replace phenolic resin for wood adhesives, also used in the synthesis of dimethyl carbonate.

Used as synthetic fibers and other polymer solvents, also as extractants and plasticizers.Propylene glycol carbonate is also used in electrochemical solutions with high permittivity.In particular, the metallic salt solution of propylene glycol carbonate is used as an aprotic electrolyte for the study of high-voltage battery output, as well as for the separation of carbon dioxide from gaseous mixtures and for organic synthesis.Propanediol carbonate is effectively used as a solvent for ESR (electron spin resonance) because of its stable ability to dissolve free radicals.
