PVAC FOOD DESCRIPTION 
Food-grade polyvinyl acetate (PVAC), as the main raw material of gum base, is the elastomer and chewing substances, also is a good film forming and taste feeling improvement material. PVAC gum base has good taste feeling, big bubble forming, bubble film thickening and not sticky mouth. the chewing gum made of this PVAC gum base does not come loose, not crack in the winter, not sticky, not wetting in the summer, with long shelf life.

According to the taste of each product, the manufacturer, based on its formula,formulate their gum base by mixing PVAC with other raw materials. The gum base becomes bubble forming and chewing parts. It cannot be swallowed.

Polyvinyl acetate (solid content > *9.9%) can be divided into two kinds of shapes: particles, and crushed, also can be made in powder form according to customer needs (but only if the customer can add talcum powder as anti-sticking agent).

Considering environmental protection, liquid PVAC glue product is also available by using methanol and ethanol as the carrier.



 

 

1.Chemical Property

1.1 Molecular Structure

Polyvinyl acetate (C4H6O2)n,short form PVAC, is a kind of synthetic resin, belongs to polyethylene group, general formula - [RCOOCHCH2] - it is a thermoplastic.

1.2 Chemical feature

PVAC polymerization degree generally is from the range of **0 to ***0. Poly (vinyl acetate and its esters is very sensitive to alkali, under the condition of alkaline, PVAC can be slowly decomposed to form polyvinyl alcohol and acetic acid.

1.3 Specification
