Good cooling performance

Quenching medium cooling performance is the important performance, it will directly affect the quality of quenching parts, good cooling performance can be guaranteed after quenching parts have a certain degree of hardness and metallographic organization qualified, can prevent the deformation and cracking.

High flash point and ignition point

When quenching, the oil temperature will transiently elevated, if oil flash point and ignition is low, may fire phenomenon. So the quenching oil should have a high flash point and ignition point. Usually flash should use temperature higher than****0C.

Excellent thermal oxidation stability

Quenching oil at high temperature and long continuous operation under harsh conditions, requirements of oil has a good antioxidant, thermal decomposition and anti-aging performance, in order to ensure the oil cooling performance and service life.

Low viscosity

The oil viscosity and its adhesion weight loss and cooling performance, carrying a certain relationship. To ensure the oil cooling performance and the flash point of the premise, the viscosity of oil should be as small as possible, so we can reduce the loss and convenient carrying, cleaning of a workpiece.

Low water content

Oil of excessive moisture will affect parts of the heat treatment quality of parts, causing soft point, quenching crack and deformation, can also cause oil splash, accident. So the general provisions of quench oil in water content not exceeding 0.*5%.
