Not only are Permionics pioneering in membrane manufacture, it continuously is expanding the scope and range of membrane technology applications. Further advances are focused on applying its diverse range of membranes to other areas apart from water purification. In this, it successfully pioneered membrane usage in several non-water applications such as milk concentration, whey fractionation, dyes desalting and deashing, broth clarification etc. These efforts spilled over into providing pure and safe drinking water in homes, too, incorporating its Polyethersulfone Ultrafiltration membrane. This was yet another first, being the only company in India manufacturing and marketing a membrane based water purifier-to list one of its many advantages-it used no electricity nor any chemicals. The product, branded as PUREFLO, is being manufactured and marketed by the company, throughout the country market through its own sales and service network.
