Description:

With no seams around, seamless steel pipe is kind of hollow section, round, square, or rectangular strip steel.

Seamless steel pipe is made of ingot steel, or hollow billet that perforated through solid billet, then hot rolled and cold rolled or cold drawn.

Classification:

According to the shape of cross-sectional area the seamless steel pipe can be divided into the round pipe and special section pipe. Because on the equal perimeter conditions, the round pipe has the largest area, it can convey more fluid. In addition, subjected to internal or external radial stress, circular section stressed uniformly, therefore, most of the steel pipes are round pipes.

Application:

With its hollow section, seamless steel pipe is usually used as pipelines of conveying fluid (such as oil, natural gas, coal gas, water and some solid materials).

Compared with round steel such solid steel, seamless steel pipe has flexural and torsional strength and at the same time its weight is light, it is a kind of economic section steel. So it is widely used in the manufacture of structural parts and mechanical parts, such as the oil pipe, automobile transmission shaft, the bicycle frame and steel scaffold in building construction.

Manufacture of annular parts (Such as rolling bearing ring, Jack set and so on), the seamless steel pipe can improve the utilization rate of materials; simplify the manufacturing process; material saving and working hours saving. It has been widely manufactured by seamless steel pipe.

Seamless steel pipe is also indispensable material of conventional weapons; both gun barrel and artillery barrel are made of seamless steel pipe.
