The mushroom farm is in Potrerillos Arriba, a small village on the
side of the extinct volcano Vulcan Baru at an altitude of ***5 feet
above sea level.
Conditioned horse and chicken manures provide the compost for the
substrate and sawdust is used for the casing. Various types of
mushrooms are available. Largest product lines are Shitake, Brown
, crimini, and Portobellos. The company is incorporated in
the Republic of Panama under Panama corporation rules. All
employees are panamanians. All employees live nearby. Mountain
water of the freshest quality from the mountain is used. At the
present time spawn is purchased. The spawn is of the highest
quality and is flown in as required. None is kept frozen. Many more
types of mushrooms will be added to our product line. Customers are
invited to visit the Mushroom Farm. The costs of our mushrooms are
kept down because we have spent many hours experimenting with
various methods of composting, testing many materials for
substrates and casings. We are expanding our laboratory to enable
to further reduce costs by growing our own Mycelium.
