The CAS number is 40567-80-4, and the appearance is white crystal powder. Because its molecular structure is connected with benzene ring, the sulfopropyl group on the single atom is short of one hydroxyl group, the stability is slightly strong, and it has the characteristics of high water solubility and high detection sensitivity.

It is widely used in diagnostic and biochemical tests, mainly for the colorimetric determination of uric acid and cholesterol; when it is used as a water-soluble reagent, it can be used for the determination of hydrogen peroxide by enzyme spectrophotometry.
