Sobitol is a mono sugar alcohol made after enzymolysis and refined processing of starch into glucose, hydrogenation reduction, refinement and crystallization with the function of catalyst. Sorbitol crystal has four crystal forms-α, β,γ and δ. At present day, it has been widely used in chewing gum and table candy.The product shall be stored in cool, dry, ventilated and clean places.

Physicochemical Property:

Sorbitol crystal is a white crystal or crystalline powder, odorless, with cool sweetness is 0.5~0.7 times as much as cane sugar; melting point is over *5℃; it is easily soluble in water, but slightly soluble in organic solvents. With good resistance to acid and heat, it doesnt make Maillard reaction with amino acid and protein easily.

Application:

1. It is used to produce sugar-free candy and heath-care tablets(lozenge).
