It is mainly used for transformer, lightning arrester, disconnector and circuit breaker in substation.
According to their functions, transformers can be divided into step-up transformers and step-down transformers. The former is used in the sending end substation of the power system, and the latter is used in the receiving end substation. The voltage of the transformer shall adapt to the voltage of the power system. In order to maintain the qualified voltage under different load conditions, it is sometimes necessary to switch the tap of the transformer.
According to the tap changer switching mode, the transformer has on load tap changer and off load tap changer. On load tap changer is mainly used in the receiving substation.
