4. COATINGS

1. Energy Curable Coatings:
   • EB: EB is electron beam coating which is cured with energy. These are also called energy curable coatings. It provides glass like gloss with high resistance to the surface. These are applied mainly by roller coater. 
   • UV: UV is Ultra Violet Coating which is cured with energy. These are also called energy curable coatings. It provides glass like gloss with high resistance to the surface. These can be applied by Flexo, offset and coater. 
2. Solvent Borne Coatings: These are over print lacquers which are applied to get extra properties, other than inks, like gloss, co-efficient of friction, scuff resistance, heat resistance and other surface resistance properties.
   • Oil and Fat Resistant: Gr. Sunflex or O/P Ink 
   •  Special Application - eg Sanitary Napkin: Sunflex or O/P Ink 
   •  General Purpose(Matt and Gloss): Pet Surface Matt Coating 
   • 2 Component (High Resistance): It is solvent based 2 component over print varnish suitable for coating on PE film, primed aluminum foil and paper using NC or NC/PU inks thru gravure printing process. It is used after mixing with hardener PRK***7.It is diluted with Ethyl Acetate to bring down the printing viscosity before printing.
