Glass GT-LCD is a unique product for both indoor and outdoor LCD applications. Other types of micro droplet displays cannot make reverse mode LCD or negative mode display and cannot produce glass displays in mass production because of material limitations, process difficulties and equipment availability. To approach outdoor LCD applications, GT (1) utilizes and controls micro droplets to increase display size, transparency, and anti-vibration ability, (2) utilizes scattering mode, instead of absorbing mode, to avoid using polarizer and to improve readability in sunshine and darkness, (3) utilizes non-linear optical materials to form droplets, with positive or negative liquid crystals, and increase viewing angle, (4) utilizes UV-curable materials to increase UV stability, and (5) utilizes nematic LC instead of twisted nematic LC to widen temperature range.
